Down the Rabbit Hole

Image
I may have fallen down the rabbit Sparrow hole. Yes, I bought my first Chic Sparrow Traveler’s Notebook!   (I may have also bought my second and third, too, but let’s start at the beginning.) I have known about Chic Sparrow for some time.   I don’t recall where I first heard of them, but most likely from Carie Harling’s blog and/or YouTube channel .   In any event, I have had my eye on these for quite some time.   However, having had Traveler’s Notebook fail in the past, I had refrained from jumping in. Until this year. For some reason, I just decided to order a Chic Sparrow.   I perused the options, and ended up with my choice.   In truth, I knew, even before I made my first purchase, that I’d be going back for more.   So it was really just a matter of choosing where to start. So where did I start?   Let’s see… I figured the best place to start was with my health journal.   I already had a green Mol...

Quo Vadis Journal 21

Image
I have been an admirer of Quo Vadis planners for a while now.  While I had not purchased any planners or notebooks from them, I perused the options often.  I love the way a bound planner looks and how it works for so many people.  For me, for my planner, only rings will do .  I love the versatility and flexibility rings provide when it comes to planning my days.  However, I do love the look of the Quo Vadis Journal 21 .  I love the large open space of each day.  I love the timed slots.  I love the potential that comes with this book. Some time in late summer, I bought a 2017 Journal 21 to try out, thinking I might like to use it as a planner for 2018, just to try something different.  Upon arrival, I promptly moved in, copying all of my appointments and tasks over.  And before I was finished, I knew it wasn’t going to work for me.  Sadly, I left the 2017 Journal 21 mostly unused. That didn’t stop me from entering the Jour...

A Tale of Three Page Markers

Image
For quite some time I have used two pages markers, one for my monthly spread… …and one for my daily spread. I can see where the current month and day are, whether from the top or bottom of my planner. This has worked well.   I am easily able to find my monthly and/or daily pages with a flip of one marker or the other. I recently bought more storage boxes from Franklin Covey for archiving purposes , and while shopping, I clicked on their page markers .   I have always been fascinated with their pager markers because they have a slip pocket for putting slips of paper in.   So I bought one of those as well and put it among my daily pages. I immediately moved in to that slip pocket. Here I put a list of items that I need to work on sooner rather than later, things that can’t be forgotten behind a tab somewhere.   Having it here, I see the list every day—multiple times a day, really—and so I am constantly reminded of t...
