5 Weeks of Celebrating 5 Years: Week 4
I don’t decorate my planner pages. While I like the look of some decorated
pages, I find it too distracting to use myself.
However, I am all about the color-coding so that topics for all of my
entries jump out at me, even before I read what I have written down.
Currently my color-coding system is:
- Red – work schedule and notes
- Aqua – personal appointments
- Purple – food tracking
- Light Green – exercise tracking
- Dark Green – due dates
- Orange – random general notes, including blog information
- Brown – weather tracking and unimportant notations (like the New York Giants)
- Pink – important notations such as medicine and birthdays/anniversaries
General blue is used for all personal tasks and writing;
general black is used for all work
tasks and writing.
This system allows me a quick visual of what
area(s) need attention on a certain day.
My pen(s) of choice for my color-coding is
the Pilot
High Tec C Coleto, 4 barrel. I love
that I can have an array of ink colors in only 2 pens. (Well, those two plus my favorite general
pens for my blue and black inks, the Uniball JetStream.)
In any event, I know a lot of people would
like to try the Coleto pen. So, this
week’s give-away is one four-barrel pen and 6 inks: one aqua, one brown, one red,
and one pink, plus 2 black inks that I will no longer use (one ink was used
slightly and the other is unused; the package was cut to fit into my pen bag
but both ink barrels are in good condition).
This is a great opportunity for someone to
try out this pen before investing money into the system.

ReplyDeleteLovely giveaway! I have yet to try the Coleto but it does sound appealing to have 8 colors in only two pens. . . . Congrats again on your 5 year blog - versary!
ReplyDeleteWell I just came by Iris' Blog Filomaniac following her link here...
ReplyDeleteI have to admit that I love writing in several colours but since I'm a fountain pen addict I very seldom have the chance to do so... try carrying 4 fountain pens in one planner ;-)
And congrats on 5 years of blogging and escaping me :)
