Taking the time...

...to stop and smell the roses.

I skipped my Monday night yoga class and headed to the beach.  It's been too long since I enjoyed the smell of the salt air.  I thought I'd share my afternoon with you.

Deer
The great Atlantic Ocean
Daffodils!
Pavilion
The addiction
Sand
Ahhh...

  1. awesome! good for you.

when i lived in brooklyn, me and mowgli (my loving and faithful companion at the time) used to go to ft. tilden near breezy point all the time for this very feeling. it's hard to believe it was really only 5 miles away from my apartment. i lived 5 miles away from the beach in brooklyn. awesome. it was mainly a fisherman's beach and noone really went out there so it was WAAAAAAAAAY AWESOME. then people got wise to that beach and they made it no dogs allowed. bastards.

nothing beats those memories though. thanks for sharing

    1. SNARL - I love the beach, but I'm not a sit-in-the-sun kind of person. And I absolutely hate it when it's so crowded that you're practically on top of the person next to you. So usually when i go, it's late in the day or during the off season. But no matter when it is, there's definitely a feeling you don't get from any other place.
