Name Change
Just a small housekeeping issue:
It seems that there is a company out there who has trademarked the phrase "Life Well Planned." While my blog was born before the trademark was established, and though I've been told that nothing could come of this issue because of that fact, I am changing the name of my blog simply for my own peace of mind.
The new name will be Well Planned Life and the URL will now be WellPlannedLife.blogspot.com. I will make this change later this evening in the hopes that my readers will take note of the change. If you view my posts through a feed reader, you will need to update the link.
From what I can tell, I will not lose any content by making the change, however I don't know if links to my blog will still work.
Check back here later to get the new link. Thank you for your understanding and for reading.

Sorry that you're having to change, although I understand entirely why you are. Hope the transition is smooth.

ReplyDeletePersonally I would have left the name as it was. Life Well Planned in a Google search brings up a lot of hits. So I don't quite see how they can trade make that phrase.
ReplyDeleteAnyway what time will the change over happen? I will see what links need to be changed. I have your blog bookmarked and linked on Philofaxy as well.
Another idea. Leave the address the same, just change the title of the blog, that way all the past links to your posts will still work as well.

Thank you everyone for your comments. I'm not particularly happy to change the name of the blog, but as I told Steve earlier, I am a worrier, and so this is just mentally easier for me.

It's odd--this morning I heard a commercial with the words "life well planned" and your blog was my first thought. I think you did the right thing by moving but I had a moment of panic until I tracked you down. Thanks for enabling my love of planners and all things Filofax.

Oh, thanks, Shay! I'm so glad people are able to find me again. I was afraid I'd lose all of my readers. And at least there's a small group of people whose first though is my blog upon hearing "life well planned," rather than a company. ;) Thanks for the support!

ReplyDeleteGTC - Yeah, I don't know too much about them either. I probably brought the "unfairness" on myself, meaning I did something I probably didn't have to do. But better safe than sorry. I don't have to worry about it now, so it's all good.
