I have been an admirer of Quo Vadis planners for a while now. While I had not purchased any planners or notebooks from them, I perused the options often. I love the way a bound planner looks and how it works for so many people. For me, for my planner, only rings will do. I love the versatility and flexibility rings provide when it comes to planning my days. However,WellPlannedLifehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/14639851771653623399noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6861145849543681491.post-76488260001373792962018-01-14T20:08:00.000-05:002018-01-14T20:08:16.701-05:00Planner Update (January 2018)
Here’s a quick little 2018 planner update!
Basically, everything is the same as before, though there are some slight changes, which I will cover in separate posts going forward. I have been using my two Van der Spek binders--Cappuccino and Daisy--rotating them depending on the seasons.
Currently I’m using my Cappuccino binder (for fall and winter).
Upon opening, I WellPlannedLifehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/14639851771653623399noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6861145849543681491.post-37788430283551796892018-01-06T10:42:00.000-05:002018-01-09T20:54:06.980-05:00Challenges and Goals
A new year always brings about a sense of fresh beginnings, a new start, a revamp of dreams and goals and plans. A new year = a new you!
I’m going to get very personal here, which I rarely do, so please read this with kindness in mind.
I don’t feel new.
I have mixed feelings about moving into this new year. I had high hopes for 2017. I wouldn’t say I had overly high hopes, WellPlannedLifehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/14639851771653623399noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6861145849543681491.post-87719942854484192972018-01-04T17:53:00.000-05:002018-01-04T17:53:46.312-05:00Welcome to 2018!
Hello! Welcome to 2018!
It’s been almost a year since my last post--I hope I still have some readers out there! The blog was put on hold in order to put my attention elsewhere but I have missed writing, so one of my goals is to start again. I can’t say how often I’ll write or what the content will be exactly. I hope to continue with some planner/organizing WellPlannedLifehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/14639851771653623399noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6861145849543681491.post-24477894393132825122017-01-16T16:19:00.000-05:002017-01-16T16:19:15.125-05:002017 Goals and Planner Set-Up
Hello, and happy 2017!
Once again, a new post is long overdue. It seems that I just never have time to write
anymore, or perhaps I don’t make time for it anymore. Either way, I do miss writing. So one of my goals for 2017 is to get back to
it, even if it’s only once in a while.
Which brings me to my goals for 2017.
There are many.
I’m not sure why I have so many WellPlannedLifehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/14639851771653623399noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6861145849543681491.post-64270833278550754152016-10-10T11:08:00.000-04:002016-10-10T11:08:39.203-04:00The State of Things
Hello!
It’s been quite a while since I’ve posted, and I have to say, it feels
good to be at it again, even if this is just a post to update you on my
whereabouts.
Things have been busy around here. As mentioned in my
last post, we have our condo on the market.
It’s not been as busy in this area as I would like, but still, it’s
going. We’ve hosted several open WellPlannedLifehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/14639851771653623399noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6861145849543681491.post-61028571444980402862016-07-11T17:36:00.000-04:002016-07-11T17:36:56.386-04:00Guinness: The Black and Tan(ish) Personal VDS
Back during the Van der Spek April 1 sales (yes, I’m that far behind in my posting), I bought
my third VDS customized binder. So now,
in addition to Cappuccino
and Daisy,
I now have Guinness. (Why am I compelled
to name each of my binders?)
Guinness is made of the Nero nappa leather on
the outside and the Barbie nappa on the inside.
Each has the contrasting stitching.

A while back long time ago, a reader
asked how I set up my project binders.
(You can check out some of my project binders here.) It has taken me this long to write this post
because I haven’t set up a project-specific binder in a while. I have lots of ideas for special binders, but
the reality of actually creating them, well, that’s a different story—I don’t
seem to have as WellPlannedLifehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/14639851771653623399noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6861145849543681491.post-36464758876989960672016-04-04T15:51:00.000-04:002016-04-04T15:51:32.344-04:00A Tale of Three Page Markers
For quite some time I have used two pages
markers, one for my monthly spread…
…and one for my daily spread.
I can see where the current month and day
are, whether from the top or bottom of my planner.
This has worked well. I am easily able to find my monthly and/or
daily pages with a flip of one marker or the other.
I recently bought more storage
boxes from WellPlannedLifehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/14639851771653623399noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6861145849543681491.post-65569812157466781572016-03-14T15:49:00.000-04:002016-03-14T15:49:06.718-04:00Things I Love: Coloring!
I am not artistic, at least not the way one
might pick up a paintbrush or drawing pencils and create something from
scratch. I can barely draw a stick
figure, and that is not an exaggeration; I seriously cannot draw a straight line. However, just like I can follow a recipe
pretty well, I can color inside some pre-determined lines. (While I can follow a recipe, I am not good

A while back, I discussed my routine for meal
planning and running errands. This
routine hasn’t changed all that much. I
still plan my meals; I still keep lists of things I want/need to buy; and I
still keep a list of the places I need to go each week; I still use Wunderlist to organize my errand
running. (You can read my complete overview
of Wunderlist here.) However, WellPlannedLifehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/14639851771653623399noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6861145849543681491.post-27360071966383367682016-02-07T14:55:00.004-05:002016-02-07T14:55:50.164-05:00Bob and James: A Purr-fectly Feel-Good Story
I just finished reading A
Street Cat Named Bob and The
World According to Bob. I loved
them both and highly recommend them if you’re looking for something uplifting
to read. (I have yet to read A
Gift from Bob, though that will be first on my Christmas reading list
come December.)

I am an organized person by nature. I don’t have to think too much about how to
organize something, whether it be a spot in my house, a collection of items, or
a project. I simply look at what I need
to do and a plan just sort of comes to me.
This is not to say, however, that I don’t teak whatever system it is
that I have in place should the need arise.

Hello!
Happy fall!
Happy holidays! Happy New Year!
It has been over three months (!) since my
last post, unless you count my Philofaxy
guest post, in which case it’s been over two months. Either way, this is the longest I have ever
gone without blogging. I have both missed
it and…not.

[Yes, I realize that “awesomer” is not a
word, but it works here.]
Back in the spring, I read a book for a book
discussion that has become my (latest) go-to recommendation for just about
everyone. It is rare that I enjoy a book
thoroughly (and by that I mean every
aspect of the book—its story, its characters, and its writing) that I recommend
it to practically everyone who asks me for aWellPlannedLifehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/14639851771653623399noreply@blogger.com7tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6861145849543681491.post-36568851596262407252015-09-17T10:00:00.000-04:002015-09-20T21:09:59.229-04:00Philofaxy Post: Experienced UserToday's post can be found over at Philofaxy. We all know the drill: when you’re little,
you’d give anything not to have to take nap.
You rail against it. You fight
it. You cry and kick and complain. You wear yourself out until you just fall
asleep, giving into what you were fighting in the first place.
When we’re older, we’d give anything to sneak
in a nap.
Well, at least that’s been my experience,

Why can’t we notebook lovers just stick to
something simple, stick to one brand, stick to one system?
Because it’s too much fun to try new things,
that’s why.
And I, apparently, am easily swayed.
A few months ago, I wrote about my Traveler’s

as a spirituality notebook. I had three

Almost immediately after receiving my
first Van der Spek planner, I knew I’d be getting a second one,
specifically for the spring and summer months.
Just like my first one, I knew I’d want something that represented
something I love—the colors had to be chosen very carefully. But I didn’t know what those colors would
be. I had time to think about it,
though, so there was no WellPlannedLifehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/14639851771653623399noreply@blogger.com18tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6861145849543681491.post-88755125790720680252015-07-13T18:13:00.000-04:002015-07-13T18:13:17.465-04:00VDS “Cappuccino” Update
It has been just about 3 months since introducing
you to Cappuccino, my first Van
der Spek binder. Although I first
wrote about her in April, she arrived in March, so she’s been my active planner
for more than 3 months.
I can honestly tell you that she is a thing
of beauty. I love her. She is aging quite nicely.
So here is a little update on how she’s
aging. WellPlannedLifehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/14639851771653623399noreply@blogger.com8tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6861145849543681491.post-10453157189628853042015-06-28T15:24:00.000-04:002015-06-28T15:24:09.913-04:00All Hail the King!: The (Lucky) 7th Philofaxy New York City Meet-Up
This post is way overdue, by two weeks, in
fact. You may have already seen Steve’s
write-up over at Philofaxy. And
since then, he’s been to a second meet-up
in Washington, DC. So, yes, this
post is shamefully overdue. But that’s
how much time I’ve had for blogging: zip, zero, zilch. But I digress…
